Background
The Prairie Chapter has traditionally had a high-quality
symposium held biannually or annually, with typically over 100 attendees
and 15 exhibitors. In addition to the oral presenters, a popular event
is the poster show, which culminates in awards given to the top three
graduate-student poster presentations. Chapter symposia in recent years
have been held at Northwestern University, University of Illinois-Urbana
Champaign, University of Illinois-Chicago, Purdue University, Argonne
National Laboratory, and Northern Illinois-Naperville.
We invite submissions on any topic of possible AVS interest for contributed talks and student posters. A
program book of accepted abstracts will be produced for the symposium,
but there will be no proceedings. Submission deadline is August 3rd Extended to August 10th. Authors will be informed of the status of their abstract by August 8th12th.
